Wee 3 Year Old Program

2006-2007

Dear Parents,

Greetings from Epiphany, and welcome to our Wee 3 program!  I hope that you all are having a fun-filled summer and have been able to enjoy the company of your family, while making many new memories together.  As summer draws to an end and we soon embark into the 2006-2007 school year, I wanted to take some time to let you all get to know a little about me.

My name is Kari Lulofs, and I will be your little one’s teacher for this upcoming year.  I am a graduate of Florida State University and am certified in Early Childhood Education.  I absolutely love frogs, stars, and traveling. This will be my second year teaching at Epiphany and my third year as Children’s Ministry Director with the church.  Though I wear many hats here, I am dedicated to each of my students and try to make every day that your child is in school a great one.  I have grown up at Epiphany.  As a product of Epiphany’s preschool, I can think of no better place to be able to help children grow and learn in mind, body and spirit.

I am sure you must be excited and anxious as you look to the year ahead.  I want to assure you that your child will learn to love coming to school.  This year, through play, song, movement, stories, and hands-on activities, your child will have opportunities to learn more about the vast world that surrounds them.  In our first weeks of school, we will learn more about our school, our friends, and ourselves.  Each week I will send home a letter telling what we did the week before, an outline for the week ahead, and any other special announcements.  Beginning in September, your child will be sent home with a calendar outlining our events for the month.  I like to keep communication open with all parents.  If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail me at the below address.

As we venture into the new school year, I would like to remind you of a few things your child needs to bring with him or her.  Please look at the attached list of supplies your child will need for school, as well as supplies that we will need in the classroom.  Parental involvement is always important, especially with these little guys.  Also attached is a volunteer list.  Please, choose the areas in which you would like to get involved and bring back the form to the Meet Your Teacher Day.  With your help, this year will be exciting for everyone!

I am very excited about the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your child and look forward to meeting you all!

In Christ’s Love,

Kari Anne Lulofs
