Curriculum Summary Revised 2006-2007 Classroom Curriculum Wee Learn Convention Press This wonderful curriculum supports a wide range of lessons that are designed to meet the needs of young three year olds at their level of development. Skills in language, reading, writing, and math are developed which are appropriate to his or her level of development. Spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, social, gross and fine motor skill development are equally important. This curriculum is developed around themes that provide opportunities for children to learn about God’s world and how to live in it. The themes are designed to help lay a foundation for understanding God, Jesus, Bible, church, self, family, others, and the natural world. Epiphany teachers use this curriculum to plan individual and small group activities that will meet the specific needs and interests of each child. Bible Voyages Concordia Publishing House This bible curriculum gets students excited about exploring scripture. Built-in active learning concepts and lessons help preschoolers learn about faith by living it. Creative, age-appropriate, Christ-centered activities make lessons come alive and integrate faith concepts and themes around the school day. Music Preschool students receive weekly instruction in music. In addition to concepts that are specific to music, these classes also reinforce many of the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social/emotional goals of the Wee Learn Curriculum. Preschoolers gain experience in singing, moving, creating, and instrument playing. Spanish Salsa Peach Star Educational Services This curriculum provides a wonderful introduction to the Spanish Language and culture. Linguistic concepts are continually revisited at progressively more complex levels. The Spanish language is taught through games, music, role-playing and other activities. The Kindness Curriculum Redleaf Press This curriculum introduces young children to respect values. The basis for this curriculum is part of a growing trend to foster character education in the state of Florida. The curriculum will cover topics on friendship, being polite, recycling, treating nature wisely, being quiet, dealing with anger, being a part of a family, amongst others. The curriculum is taught through games, crafts, role-playing and other activities. |
