Middle
School Youth- New outreach opportunity!!

The Haven of Rest
510 W Tennessee St.
Tallahassee,
FL 32301
During the past three years our youth group has
faithfully served
The Shelter
in Tallahassee located on Tennessee Street.
This has been a rewarding and educational experience
for the kids. This door, however, has recently
closed and God has opened a new opportunity for us
to serve.
The Haven of Rest
located near The
Shelter on Tennessee Street has
recently accepted our offer to serve its patrons.
The youth will be doing much of the same work as
they previously did at
The Shelter.
The need for volunteers is much greater at
The Haven of Rest
and we are excited to help in the love of Christ.
Youth will meet every 1st Sunday of the
month to visit
The Haven of Rest, as they did when they
went to The
Shelter. However, there is a time
difference in this new outreach. Our Middle
School Youth will meet at Epiphany on these Sundays
at 3:15pm. They will return to Epiphany at
approximately 5:45pm. During their time at
The Haven of Rest
our youth will cook and serve hotdogs and cookies.
They have also been invited to witness to the
homeless.
Please encourage your middle schooler to join us
during this monthly service event. Parents are
also invited to come as chaperones!
Jack Wilder will be the main volunteer heading this
event. I thank him for his dedication to this
important outreach in our community.
I hope to see you there!!
